Draft Profile: Bio
Branson Robinson from Germantown High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. Following high school, Robinson joined Georgia.

In 2022 as a freshman Robinson saw action in 11 games for the Bulldogs as he ran for 288 yards on 61 attempts for 4.7 yards per carry, with one TD, with one fumble. As a receiver he made only one reception for 2 yards.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Super athletic - Made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak's List at #41. He Wrote: "the 5-10, 220-pound sophomore is one of the most powerful dudes in college football, pound for pound. His bench press this offseason went from 425 to 470 — insane numbers for a running back. He also squats 590 and power-cleaned 315. His broad jump is also elite at 10-7 and his vertical jump is 33 inches."
  • His competitiveness and knack for high-pointing the ball allow him to play bigger than his size.
  • Robinson has a low center of gravity and runs with a nice forward lean. He’s decisive with good vision and shows nice balance when running in traffic and the body control to bounce and spin off of bodies.
  • He shows very good balance between the tackles, running behind his pads and packing the power to move a pile. Robinson shows good vision and can exploit cut-back lanes.
  • Difficult to bring down one-on-one in space, regularly sidesteps would-be tacklers and uses offhand to use oncoming defenders' momentum against them without slowing down significantly.
  • He’s equally dangerous in catch-and-run situations as Robinson is taking the top off a defense
  • Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • He’s not going to threaten to take the top off of a defense.
  • A one-speed runner and lacks any explosive qualities with tight hips. Has poor balance and has the bad habit of losing coordination when changing directions - his feet and upper body look to be on two different pages.
  • His hands are good, but Robinson doesn’t show much feel as a route runner and might not be a guy you flex out wide.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
