Jamon Dumas-Johnson, affectionately known as "Pop", hails from Prince George's County, Maryland. A standout at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Dumas-Johnson was a four-star recruit and the nation's 10th-ranked linebacker. His high school career was highlighted by an 11-1 record in his junior year, propelling St. Frances to the No. 3 national ranking. Dumas-Johnson's talent and charisma even caught the attention of HBO, featuring him in their documentary "The Cost of Winning".Dumas-Johnson's collegiate journey began at Georgia, where he quickly made his mark. As a true freshman in 2021, he contributed in 14 games, racking up 22 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks. His sophomore campaign was nothing short of spectacular, starting all 15 games and finishing as the team's second-leading tackler with 70 stops, including team-highs of 9.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks. This performance earned him finalist status for the Butkus Award and First-Team All-American honors from Sporting News and ESPN.
In his junior year, Dumas-Johnson started nine games before a forearm injury sidelined him. Despite the setback, he managed 34 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks.
