From FCS-level James Madison to SEC All-American, Antwane Wells Jr.'s journey has been as impressive as it is surprising. Hailing from Richmond, VA, and Highland Spring High School, Wells initially went unnoticed as a recruit. Despite this, he excelled in high school, earning second-team All-Metro honors and contributing to two state championships. Wells' success continued at Fork Union Military Academy before he joined James Madison University (JMU), where he dominated, particularly in his sophomore year with 1,250 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Transferring to South Carolina, Wells quickly adapted to the higher competition level, becoming Spencer Rattler's primary target in 2022 with 928 yards and six touchdowns. His accolades include First-Team All-SEC honors and multiple All-American recognitions.
