As a sophomore for the Cardinal in 2023 Bailey played in 11 games and took part in 348 snaps for the Cardinal. He recorded 24 tackles, 5 assists, while adding 12 stops. In coverage Bailey made no pass breakups, no interceptions, and QB rating when targetted of 92.2. Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Super athletic - Made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak's List at #68. He Wrote: "The 6-3, 245-pound sophomore has hit 20.53 mph in 20 yards with a 5.5 meters/second peak acceleration. The economics major also had no trouble doing a 550-pound back squat this offseason. “That dude is so fast and so explosive,” says Stanford inside linebacker Tristan Sinclair. “Whether he’s squatting 225 pounds or 500-plus, the tempo and the speed is identical. There is no strain in his face. It is pure power.”"
  • Bailey shows impressive speed and overall athleticism when moving laterally in pursuit as a run defender.
  • His spin move is already NFL-caliber, and Bailey displays a very good motor.
  • He’s at his best in the pass rush. While he’s undersized for the edge, Bailey is flexible and twitchy, showing an explosive first step and the ability to dip and bend around blockers.
  • Plays with leverage at the point of attack whether inside or outside. Keeps eyes in the backfield when inside; moves linemen to either side with strong hands.
  • Combines excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes are his violent hands, which he uses with impressive precision.
  • He’s excellent changing direction, an agile mover who can win by countering inside and exploding with impressive burst when closing.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Stands up well against the run but is very pursuit-conscious and will take unneeded wide angles.
  • Bailey struggles to disengage once blockers get into his chest, and while Bailey can move he’s too often caught up in the wash when working his way down the line.
  • As a run defender, he’s too much of a grab-and-drag tackler, lacking violence and too frequently allowing running backs to escape.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
