Draft Profile: Bio
Germie Bernard from Liberty High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 4-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Bernard opted to join Michigan State.

In 2022 as a freshman Bernard saw action in 11 games for the Spartans as he made 7 receptions for just 128 yards for an average of 18.3 yards per reception, with 2 TDs, and QB rating when targeted of 88.0.

After season's end Bernard transferred to Washington where as a sophomore in 2023 he played in 13 games and had 35 catches for 430 yards for an average of 12.3 yards per catch, with 2 TDs, and an excellent QB rating when targeted of 122.5.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Against defensive backs who are brave enough to play press, his initial quickness should allow him to escape the jam.
  • He’s extremely dangerous in the open field, showing the vision and creativity to run through entire defenses.
  • Bernard fights his way off the line of scrimmage against press coverage, showing quick, violent hands and good balance.
  • He has reliable hands and shows the willingness to make catches in traffic over the middle.
  • Does a nice job locating and tracking deep passes and is a legitimate vertical threat. Willing to go up and attack the ball.
  • Bernard runs precise routes, showing an innate feel for setting up defensive backs to create separation.
  • His long arms allow him to play bigger than his size, and Bernard has a frame that can carry a little more weight.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Bernard doesn’t have the ability as a run blocker or the violent run-after-catch ability.
  • Comes off the snap high and upright, and doesn't get to top speed quickly. Not sudden or elusive.
  • Bernard isn’t going to overwhelm opposing defensive backs with speed and athleticism.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
