Draft Profile: Bio
Tyler Warren from Atlee High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 3-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Warren opted to join Penn State.

In 2020 as a freshman Warren saw action in just one game for the Nittany Lions and didn't feature in the passing game.

As a sophomore in 2021 he played 13 games and had only 6 catches for 61 yards for an average of 10.2 yards per catch, with one TD, and an elite QB rating when targeted of 122.9.

As a junior in 2022 he played 11 games and hauled in only 9 catches for only 108 yards for an average of 12.0 yards per catch, with 3 TDs, and an elite QB rating when targeted of 127.4.

As a senior in 2023 he played 13 games and had 34 catches for 422 yards for an average of 12.4 yards per catch, 7 TDs, and an elite QB rating when targeted of 135.4. In pass protection he gave up 4 pressures and no sacks.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Gets a quick release off the line. Dips his shoulder and shows some savvy 8 as a route runner to avoid contact with defenders g to get into his route.
  • Excels finding soft spots in zone coverage and using his large frame to shield defenders.
  • Warren has soft hands and uses his frame effectively to shield defenders, making him a major threat in the red zone. He can also turn upfield and break a tackle.
  • Turns and accelerates though top speed is good, not elite.
  • He blends good size and speed, as well as the competitive demeanor of a playmaker.
  • Warren has strong hands and is extremely competitive, and Warren has an innate sense of timing when it comes to elevating and high-pointing balls.
  • He’s coordinated with soft, reliable hands, and he shows the ability to adjust to balls thrown behind him, as well as a knack for digging out low throws.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • His playing speed is less than elite. Warren won’t run past defenders like Warren did at the college level.
  • He’ll give enough effort to get in the way, but because he doesn’t get any push in the run game, he won’t be used in-line early in his career.
  • He’s largely a non-factor downfield, and he had issues with drops when running behind a defensive back and tracking the ball. More quick than fast, he won’t always be able to run away from NFL defensive backs.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
