Draft Profile: Bio
Will Lee III from Kirkwood High School was rated a Following high school, Lee III opted to join Kansas State.

In 2023 as a freshman Lee III saw action in 11 games and played a total of 453 snaps at cornerback for the Wildcats. He recorded 40 tackles, 8 assists, while adding 17 stops. In coverage Lee III notched up 6 pass breakups, 2 interceptions, and an unimpressive QB rating when targetted of 116.2.
Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Can track the ball downfield and gets his head around when playing in a trail position, and Lee shows excellent ball skills when breaking on a route. He’s a plus tackler in run support as well.
  • He’s a willing and capable hitter in run support and closes fast to make plays against quick screens.
  • Tracks the ball well downfield and shows good ball skills, including the ability to go up and high-point it in contested-catch situations.
  • A very quick and very confident cover corner plays bigger than his listed size when lined up in press coverage, delivering quick, surprisingly powerful punches and using his natural quickness and change-of-direction ability to mirror on underneath routes.
  • Exceptionally quick, with the feet and fluidity to mirror underneath, including in the slot against the two-way go. Lee stays low in his backpedal and explodes toward the ball, with an outstanding closing burst.
  • He’s tall-framed with long arms to match. With his powerful hands, straight-line speed, and fluidity in his hips, turning and chasing downfield shouldn’t be a problem.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Has a high backpedal and loses a step in transition. Plays with adequate speed but there are concerns about his ability to handle the truly explosive speedsters of the NFL.
  • Much better in coverage than Lee is in run support.
  • Feet aren’t ideal, as he gets sloppy in his backpedal and can be sluggish when transitioning to close on the ball.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
