Scouting Report: Strengths
- Super athletic - Made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak's List at #38. He Wrote: "Durant is about 6-1, 284 pounds and clocked a 4.66 40 this offseason. Durant has generated some big buzz inside the Nittany Lions’ program and we can see why. He ran a 4.44 shuttle and broad-jumped 9-10 to go with a 425-pound bench. Big-time numbers all around, especially for someone who has only had one full year in a college weight program."
- He’s a high-effort pass rusher who shows good initial quickness and the ability to beat blockers to the inside.
- His spin move is already NFL-caliber, and Durant displays a very good motor.
- Combines excellent power with initial quickness, but one of his best attributes are his violent hands, which he uses with impressive precision.
- Durant has the strong core and powerful hands to shed blockers, and he shows excellent instincts with the ability to quickly locate the ball.
- He explodes off the line with a quick first step, with agile feet to counter inside and closing burst to finish plays.
- Durant shows good quickness off the line of scrimmage and flashes the violent hands to win around the edge.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
- While he’s powerfully built, his short arms allow blockers to get into his body
- Never out of a play, but can get out of control and work himself away from the action.
- Durant is on the short side, and Durant too often relies on his ability to overpower blockers rather than developing a repertoire of pass-rush moves.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank
in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance.
For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.
*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
