Draft Profile: Bio

Noah Fifita, from Huntington Beach, California, attended Servite High School where he excelled as a quarterback. During his high school career, he set numerous records, including 7,273 passing yards and 83 touchdowns. He participated in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl and was highly regarded as a three-star recruit.

Fifita joined the Arizona Wildcats and made an immediate impact in his college career. In the 2023 season, he played 12 games with nine starts, achieving a 72.4% completion rate by completing 241 of 333 pass attempts for 2,869 yards. He threw 25 touchdowns against just six interceptions and led Arizona to a seven-game winning streak. Fifita's efforts earned him the Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year award and other accolades.

Throughout his college career, Fifita has accumulated several awards and honors, including multiple Pac-12 Freshman of the Week awards and recognition from the Davey O'Brien Award Great 8. His record-setting performance against Arizona State, where he threw for 527 yards and five touchdowns, highlighted his ability to perform under pressure.

Scouting Report: Strengths
  • Quick release with good short to intermediate accuracy, allowing receivers to gain yards after the catch.
  • Agile and light on his feet, capable of picking up yards when scrambling.
  • Demonstrates excellent ball placement, particularly on intermediate and deep throws.
  • Shows good anticipation and placement, leading receivers effectively.
  • Maintains composure under pressure, able to extend plays with mobility.
  • Excellent off-platform throwing ability, maintaining velocity and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership, taking command as a young starter.
  • Good decision-maker, rarely putting the ball in harm’s way.
Scouting Report: Weaknesses
  • Lacks ideal size and height for the quarterback position, which can affect vision and throw angles.
  • Arm strength is adequate but not elite, affecting deep pass velocity.
  • Needs to improve consistency in reading defenses and processing information quickly.
  • Can better sense backside pressure and quicken his internal clock.
  • Height sometimes blocks his field of vision, causing hesitation.
Scouting Report: Summary

Noah Fifita exhibits solid accuracy and decision-making, showcasing a quick release and the ability to extend plays under duress. His leadership and work ethic are standout traits. His ability to make quick reads and deliver the ball with precision is a big plus.

On the flip side, Fifita's lack of prototypical size and elite arm strength could be red flags at the next level. His height can limit his field vision, and his deep ball velocity needs improvement. Consistency in reading defenses and quicker processing are areas that need work.

If Fifita can refine his game and overcome physical limitations, he has the potential to be a dependable backup or spot starter in the NFL. His accuracy, quick decision-making, and mobility are tools that can translate well with the right coaching. While his college success is promising, his ability to adapt and grow at the pro level will be the ultimate test at the next level.

*Percentile Ranking in Player's Position Group (NFL Combine Historical Data): This percentile reflects how a player's specific statistics rank in comparison to historical performances at the NFL Combine, specifically within their position group. A higher percentile indicates a better performance. For instance, being in the 90th percentile for a particular stat means the player outperformed 90% of their peers in that category.

*Similarity Percentage: This percentage is calculated based on a comprehensive analysis of various factors, including height, weight, 40-yard dash times, on-field performance statistics, and overall player rating. The analysis is conducted against our database of draft prospects from 2021 to 2023. This similarity score helps in evaluating how closely a current prospect aligns with past prospects. It is important to note, however, that this score reflects similarities based on college production and attributes, and does not account for eventual success or performance in the NFL.
